KUMC Missions

Kilmarnock United Methodist Church organizes various missions throughout the year. We host various Mission Dinners, fundraisers, item collections, and seasonal missions. One of our most well known is our Mission Dinners supporting the Agape Christian Children Community Center or other special community needs.

Matthew 25: 35-40

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?”

The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

May 2022 Mission Dinner Thank You!

We served over 155 dinners, (74 Take-Out & 81 Dine-In) even several local deputies on duty as well. **We raised over $3,350!** This will go to the families involved in the recent fire in our community.
We had over 42 volunteers that prepared the food and worked the event and many more that came out in support.
None of this would have been possible without ALL of our volunteers from beginning to end. Thank you so much for giving your time so freely. It was a true act of love from the KUMC family supporting our community. -Jim & Sherry Ketner
