SMS Text Messaging — Terms and Conditions

1. Program Description
Kilmarnock United Methodist Church (“Kilmarnock UMC”) operates an SMS text messaging program (“the Program”) to allow community members to place orders for our monthly takeout community dinner and receive order confirmations, payment links, and pickup reminders.
The Program supports our mission dinner held on the third Wednesday of each month. Participation is entirely voluntary.
2. How to Opt In
To enroll in the Program and place a dinner order, text the keyword TAKEOUT or TAKE OUT to (804) 567-8361. By doing so, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from Kilmarnock UMC in connection with your dinner order.
3. Types of Messages You Will Receive
After opting in, you may receive the following automated messages:
• A request to specify the number of dinners and your desired pickup time
• An order confirmation including your order details and a secure payment link
• A pickup reminder approximately 30 minutes before your scheduled pickup time
Messages are sent only in connection with your specific order. You will not receive ongoing promotional messages.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your order. Typically, you will receive 2 to 3 messages per dinner order (order confirmation, payment link, and pickup reminder). Messages are sent only on the day of the monthly dinner event.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any fees charged by your mobile carrier for sending and receiving text messages. Please contact your carrier if you have questions about your messaging plan.
6. How to Opt Out
You may cancel your participation in the Program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from (804) 567-8361. After opting out, you will receive one final text message confirming your removal from the Program, and no further messages will be sent. You may re-enroll at any time by texting TAKEOUT or TAKE OUT to (804) 567-8361 again.

8. Supported Carriers
The Program is available on most major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T- Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carrier support may vary.
9. No Guarantee of Delivery
Kilmarnock UMC is not responsible for delays or failures in message delivery caused by your carrier or network conditions. Participation in the Program is at your own discretion.
10. Modifications
Kilmarnock UMC reserves the right to modify or discontinue the SMS Program at any time. Any material changes will be communicated via the Program or on our website at https://www.kilmarnockumc.org.
11. Privacy
Your use of this SMS Program is also governed by our SMS Privacy Policy, available at https://www.kilmarnockumc.org. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
