Ash Wednesday Service

Ash Wednesday is the day signified for the beginning of the Lenten Season. This Lenten Season is a period of 40 days focused on self-denial and prayer.
We invite you to a time of worship on 2/22 at 7pm to receive the sign of the cross with the imposition of ashes, as we ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins.
KUMC Lenten Bible Study on Monday Nights
February 27 - April 3, 2023 at 5:30pm
We all love to read the Psalms for comfort, meditation, prayers, and just to uplift our spirits. This Lenten Journey of Finding Jesus in the Psalms by Barb Roose will help us encounter the Psalms in a new way. This will be a six week study guiding us through a meaningful journey of finding Jesus in the Psalms.
Purchasing the book is recommended.
Lenten Prayer Partners
One of the ways KUMC will celebrate Lent in 2023 is through our Lenten Prayer Partner Program. Starting February 12 you will have the opportunity to draw names of church members and friends and to pray for them during Lent.
Lent at Home
Lent at Home will be available in the church office beginning February 13. This booklet will provide an opportunity not only for our shut-ins to celebrate Lent with us, but for all of us to have another resource to celebrate Lent at home.
The booklets will be delivered or mailed to our shut-ins.
